Her former principal describes her as, “…everything we hope our young people will grow up to be.”
Besides being active in her church, Elizabeth has participated in a wide variety of community services and events; a partial sampling includes: 4-H, Red Cross, American Cancer Society, an Eating Order Awareness program sponsored by the Girl Scouts, Special Olympics, a WWII Veterans voter initiative, visiting an area nursing home facility, tutoring, helping at Clover Area Assistance Center food drives and participating in political campaigns.
Elizabeth, who has been accepted at Harvard University , intends to focus her attention on political science and women’s studies. As she is primarily a lady of the South, Elizabeth wishes to use her knowledge to, “give back to this community which contributed so much to my own life.”
